Abstract:

This paper is an analysis of Jean Baudrillard’s theory of hyperreality using the films “The Matrix”, “Inception” and “Hyperreality”, to better understand the relationship between the real and the virtual. The purpose of this research is to identify the line that divides the real from the virtual, in a world over-saturated by symbolic associations, social media and other representations of reality such as Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality.
